ZXR10 8900E series core switch is a milestone of the decade from ZTE. Extreme Performance: 480G Switching Platform

  • The early release provides 320G switching capacity per slot.
  • The highest port density in the industry. A single chassis supports 576×10GE ports or 96×40GE ports.

ElasticArchitecture: VSC Cluster

  • Virtual Switch Cluster (VSC) integrates multiple 8900E chassis into one logical device.

  • The rich Metro Ethernet features like VPLS, VPWS, MPLS L3 VPN, MPLS TE, Multicast VPN, VPN QoS and IPv6, make it perfect for a full service merged metro networks. The possible roles include MPLS P/PE, Active-FTTx aggregation, IPTV or NGN bearer, FMC backhaul, IPv4/IPv6 dual-stack bearer etc.

  • ZXR10 8900E can by managed by ZTE unified NMS NetNumen N31, as well as 3rd party NMS, Telnet, SSH and web, with Radius or TACACS+ authentication. VPN, Ethernet OAM and MPLS OAM are also managed by NetNumen software.
  • With powerful hardware supporting, ZXR10 8900E supports high performance BFD, Ethernet OAM (IEEE 802.3ah, 802.1ag, ITU-Y 1731) and MPLS OAM. For example, 1k 802.1ag sessions with 3.3ms detection, 128 BFD sessions with 10ms detection are supported on single card.
  • Embedded Service Quality Analyzer (SQA) can probe the actual network quality parameters like jitter, delay, application layer performance.
  • Reliable operating system: The re-designed ZXROS v5.0 operating system is a multi-process system. Each module is strictly protected by independent resource space. It also supports intelligent dynamical upload, non-stop software module upgrade.
